Pastor Dan Tidd started the Lighthouse Baptist Church in April of 1985. In the early days the Church met in a storefront on East Washington Street. In just two years the Lord had blessed Pastor and the congregation with a building of their own at the Church's present day location.

Through the vision and leadership of Pastor Tidd the Lighthouse Baptist Church is still faithfully going forward. Pastor's vision is the same as it was when he started the church, almost 27 years ago: "We bring them in, to build them up, to send them out."

Pastor is married to Stephanie. They have two daughters who are both married and serving faithfully in the church, along with two grandsons and three granddaughters.
